Rick Azar Buffalo New York Broadcasting Legend


Rick Azar left an indelible mark in Buffalo New York Sports Broadcasting History. This appeared in the Buffalo Courier Express on September 15, 1978. It was part of a special insert in the Friday edition of the Courier Express morning newspaper. WKBW Channel 7 was celebrating 20 years of broadcasting. The insert contained many articles about the talented staff of broadcasters.

CUTLAS AZAR ADD.jpgThe Western New York  Oldsmobile dealers came out with a Special Edition of the Oldsmobile Cutlass. They made a Limited Edition Sports Model of the Olds Cutlass, they called it the Cutlass Azar.  This   “Azar Add” appeared in the Buffalo Fan Magazine,   January/February  1975 edition. That same issue contained a nice article about my father, Phil Ranallo, a Bufflao New York Sports Columnist.
